What is the switch ?
Automatic thermal magnetic switch is an electromechanical device that is used to protect motors at 50 and 60 Hz frequency. As the name of this key indicates, it is used to protect single-phase and three-phase motors.
There is a bimetal in the magnetic thermal switch. During overload, bimetal heats up and operates. In addition to bimetal, there is also a magnetic relay in the key. To protect and control the consumer and the electric motor against strong currents (short circuit), a magnetic relay is used, the principles of which are based on the electromagnetic phenomenon.
